During his career as a practicing chiropractor, Andrew Marcus, D.C. also managed the finances of a high volume multi-million dollar physical rehabilitation practice that employed over 40 healthcare providers and administrators.
Through his experience, he learned how to effectively navigate working with major medical insurance companies to maximize gross income, which led to the formation of his medical management and billing company in 2012. The management and billing company would frequently receive phone calls and faxes from Multiplan Negotiators who offered "Negotiated Amounts" in exchange for expedited processing. At first Dr. Marcus was skeptical of Multiplan's proposals as they seemed too good to be true. However, he discovered that through negotiation one can achieve higher allowed amounts than would be normally set by an insurance company without negotiation.
